The Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation supports projects that promote new economic development, demonstrate a sustained positive impact, and benefit community foundations, educational institutions, civic entities, local government, and non-profit organizations through matching gifts.

DEAN AND BARBARA WHITE COMMUNITY CENTER

The Dean and Barbara White Community Center is a 95,000-sq ft facility totaling $24 million. The Foundation gave a $10 million donation, which was one the largest philanthropic gifts in Lake County’s history.

SOUTHLAKE YMCA

The Dean and Barbara White Southlake YMCA is a 76,000-sq ft community anchor building expansion and remodel project totaling $34 million.

HAMMOND YMCA

Construction for a new destination YMCA in Hammond will begin in 2022 and is slated to open its doors in 2024. This $45 million project created in partnership with the city of Hammond will be located at the site of the former Woodmar Mall.
