In May of 2018, the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation donated 11 million dollars to the city of Crown Point for the construction of Bulldog Park. City officials purchased the property located near Wheeler Middle School from Crown Point Community School Corporation the year prior. The project was completed over the course of a 6 month time horizon, with the ice rink opening in December 2018 and the grand opening in June 2019.

The 2.5-acre park hosts a variety of events, such as concerts, weddings, hockey games, car cruises, farmers markets, and community rallies. Bulldog Park’s success launched the first of many community projects that enhance the quality of life in Crown Point.

The White Foundation and Bruce White have helped transform Crown Point from our Sportsplex, this facility, Bulldog Park, our police K-9 program, the YMCA and so many more. Bruce left us way too soon, but his footprint and legacy will most definitely live on.”
